2. Complete Your Intake & Consent Forms
If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you the appropriate intake and consent forms to complete before your first session.
These forms help me understand your goals, circumstances, and what you’d like support with. They also give you important information about the process, including expectations, boundaries, confidentiality, and applicable policies.
If you have questions about any of the forms, please don’t worry, you can ask before completing them or bring your questions to our first session.
3. Book Your First Session
Once you’re ready and your forms are completed, you can book your first session.
Your first session gives us more time to slow down, get to know one another, and understand what you need from our work together.
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. We can begin wherever you are.
4. Get to Know Each Other & Build Rapport
The beginning of our work is about creating a relationship that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative.
We’ll take time to understand your experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals. We’ll also talk about what you’d like our work together to look like.
For counselling, this may include exploring emotional well-being, patterns, relationships, life experiences, and challenges you’re navigating.
For coaching, we may focus more on goals, clarity, growth, decision-making, habits, confidence, or moving forward in an area of your life.
5. Find a Direction That Fits You
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.
Together, we’ll identify what feels most useful and meaningful for you and develop a way of working that fits your needs and goals.
And as we go, we can always check in, adjust our focus, and make changes when needed.
