About Me
I am deeply committed to supporting individuals who feel lonely, socially anxious, or disconnected from others, their community, or even themselves. I believe that meaningful change starts with how we engage with our experiences and relationships. By cultivating a compassionate, honest relationship with ourselves, we lay the groundwork for more fulfilling and authentic connections with others.
Rather than simply trying to eliminate discomfort, I guide clients in exploring healthier ways of engaging with their inner world, particularly the parts shaped by past wounds, fear of rejection, or feelings of invisibility. Through this process, we work on embracing all aspects of who you are, including those you might find difficult, allowing you to move forward with greater peace, confidence, and openness.
Together, we focus on building emotional safety, social confidence, and genuine connection, so that you can face life's challenges with clarity and purpose. By learning to accept yourself as you are, you'll discover the strength to form meaningful relationships and navigate your world with ease and a deeper sense of belonging.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Women's Studies, which provided me with a deep understanding of the societal and cultural factors that shape human behavior and well-being. Through this academic foundation, I explored how environmental and societal influences—such as gender, race, class, and culture—impact individual experiences, mental health, and social relationships. This background allows me to view emotional and relational challenges through a broader lens, recognizing the systemic forces that can affect a person’s sense of self, identity, and overall wellness.
My studies in Women’s Studies also honed my awareness of the unique pressures and societal expectations that impact individuals, particularly in relation to gender and power dynamics. These insights enable me to approach my work with empathy and a more holistic understanding of how individuals navigate complex social systems. By integrating this knowledge, I am able to offer support that not only addresses personal struggles but also takes into account the broader cultural and environmental contexts that influence mental health.
I later pursued graduate studies in Counselling Psychology, where I gained hands-on expertise in supporting individuals through various emotional and relational challenges. I’m currently working toward becoming a registered member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and care in my practice.
Education and Experience
I support individuals (teens and adults) who are struggling with loneliness, social anxiety, and a deep sense of disconnection. Whether you're feeling isolated, having trouble forming or maintaining meaningful relationships, or simply feeling out of place in social situations, I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where we can work together to reconnect—first with yourself and then with others.
In our sessions, we’ll explore your relational patterns, develop emotional insight, and create practical tools for building authentic connections and boosting self-confidence. This process isn’t just about managing symptoms; it’s about cultivating a sense of belonging—within yourself and in the world around you.
If you're ready to make lasting changes in how you relate to yourself and the people in your life, I’d be honored to walk with you. Together, we’ll work towards creating a life full of meaningful relationships, deeper purpose, and alignment with your true values.
